What I Provide

 

Individual Therapy--both in person and online

 

These are traditional therapy sessions in which we explore the history of your relationship with food and your body while also discussing practical strategies for improving your relationship with food. 

​

Common topics clients bring into session include: Resistance to exercise, bingeing or "grazing" all day long without being hungry, confusion about what to eat, managing health concerns, body loathing, and general fear and hopelessness about this problem ever getting better.  (These are extremely common complaints, and you are not alone!)

​

In addition to food and body image issues, I also work with a wide range of other issues including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and relationship issues.

​

Before the pandemic, I saw clients in my office on the north side of Chicago.  During this COVID-19  pandemic, I am offering clients the option to work with me via video or phone. 

​

I am in-network with all Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans, Blue Choice Plans, as well as United Health Care PPO.  If you have another kind of insurance, I am happy to provide you with a monthly statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Coaching Group

 

I currently run a monthly group for women interested in learning about intuitive eating, Health at Every Size, and joyful movement.  This is also a safe space in which to discuss the desire for weight loss while receving thoughtful guidance about how how to get to your natural weight without dieting.
